André Faaij to be Director of Science of ECN part of TNO
New Energy Coalition’s Chief Scientist André Faaij is to be appointed as Director of Science of ECN part of TNO as per November 1. The collaboration with academia and the co-initiation of extensive research programmes about the sustainability of the energy provision will be Faaij’s main priorities.
The organisation’s board of directors will reflect on his succession in the months to come. ‘This is a great opportunity for André and we congratulate him,’ says COO Harold Veldkamp. Faaij has been with New Energy Coalition from 2014 and holds a position as University Professor Energy Systems Analyses with the University of Groningen (UoG). Veldkamp: ‘Much to our satisfaction André will remain connected through his position with UoG, and of course via ECN part of TNO’s partnership with New Energy Coalition.’
