H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship in Groningen
Students and teachers from nine different European countries are coming to the Dutch city of Groningen for the H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship. This championship is organized by Alfa-college, Noorderpoort, and Hanze University of Applied Sciences. From June 19th to 21st, they will host international teams for the H2 Grand Prix RWE European Championship, when they will compete against each other in hydrogen-powered RC cars at the Kardinge ice rink.

During this event on June 21st, there will also be activities related to energy and hydrogen. Learning from and with each other plays a key role. In addition to the exciting race, children and young people in secondary and primary education can learn about energy and hydrogen. The event is made possible by a large number of partners and sponsors, including main sponsor RWE.
Program
- June 19: Arrival with introductions, team performance, jury evaluation, and dinner. Location: Alfa-college Admiraal de Ruyterlaan, Groningen;
- June 20: open training and visit to New Energy ForumLocation: Zernikelaan 17 Groningen;
- June 21: Race and Side Event at Kardinge Ice Rink. Location: Kardingerplein 1, Groningen.
Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix
The Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix offers students from pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO), intermediate vocational education (MBO), and higher professional education (HBO) the opportunity to convert electrically powered RC model cars into hybrid hydrogen-powered vehicles. This challenge culminates in a thrilling endurance race, focusing on the cars' endurance.
