Do I need to have experience in the energy sector?
This depends heavily on the position you're applying for; it's not essential for all positions. In any case, it's important that you have an affinity for the energy transition.
-
Can I work hybrid (from home)?
Yes, we have a work-from-home policy at New Energy Coalition. You'll also receive a home-working allowance. What does an average application process look like?
The application process begins with an initial selection based on your resume and motivation letter. All applicants will then be notified whether or not they have been selected. This is followed by the first round of interviews, where you'll be interviewed by one or two colleagues from the team. If you're selected for the second, and usually final, round, you'll have an interview with your direct manager and our CEO or COO. Sometimes, for a second round, you'll be asked to complete a case study or assignment. If we're both enthusiastic, we'll make you an offer.
-
How quickly will I hear something after my application?
This varies by position, but you'll usually receive a response to your application within one to two weeks of the closing date. After an interview, you'll often hear within a few days whether you've advanced to the next round.
-
Can I also submit an open application?
Yes, you can send us an open application, whether we have any vacancies or not. Want to start right away? Click here.
-
How important is motivation compared to experience?
Experience is valuable, but motivation and a willingness to learn are often just as important, especially in innovative and rapidly changing sectors like energy. So, carefully review the job descriptions. These usually list the essential requirements.
-
Can I also work part-time?
This depends on the vacancy; the number of FTEs is usually indicated with the position. There's often some room for negotiation, and you can work slightly less or more than the stated FTE. Please indicate this in the application process.
-
Can I contact you if I have questions about the vacancy?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, it demonstrates interest and initiative. A job posting usually indicates who you can contact about the position. For questions about the application process, please contact our HR department.
-
What happens to my data after the application process has ended?
In accordance with the GDPR, your data will be handled with care. Only employees involved in the application process can access your data. We will delete this data no later than four weeks after the application process is completed, and it will no longer be available. In some cases, we prefer to retain your data in order to contact you again. In such cases, we will ask your permission.
-
Can I apply again after being rejected?
Yes, definitely. Sometimes the timing isn't right, or another role is a better fit. Stay in the loop if your profile matches.
-
Are soft skills also taken into account?
Yes, in addition to your professional knowledge, things like collaboration, knowledge sharing and (international) communication are very important to us.
