For our Research & Innovation team we are looking for a

Project Manager Hydrogen research (0.8-1 FTE)

The project manager will structure, coordinate and develop hydrogen research with his own team and a broad consortium.

HyDelta: hydrogen research program

The Research & Innovation Team is engaged in the development, acquisition and implementation of research and innovation projects in the field of system integration and green molecules. We are working with many (market) parties on the first European ‘Hydrogen Valley’. This is where the production, transport, storage and use of green hydrogen come together.

Knowledge is of vital importance for successful investments in the hydrogen chain. Partly for this reason, the HyDelta research program has recently been developed. The industry, knowledge sector and Top Sector Energie have joined forces to build up structured knowledge for the introduction of hydrogen. The focus is on possible bottlenecks in the transport system. New Energy Coalition is responsible for the coordination and implementation of a number of specific work packages.

The project manager we are looking for, together with the scientific liaison, will be responsible for project management and coordination with the partners. Furthermore, he/she will  manage the team (approx. 3 fte) regarding the execution of our own research. HyDelta will run at least until the end of 2021 and is a precursor to a long-term national research and investment program for hydrogen. With the coordination of HyDelta, we are pre-sorting to help implement this as well.

What we ask of you

As a project manager you have an important connecting role in shaping the research for hydrogen with the other knowledge partners and in coordination with the industry and Top Sector Energie. Starting with HyDelta as a stepping stone for further expansion and growth. You represent the interests of New Energy Coalition and the underlying partners at (inter) national level. This requires sufficient authority and seniority, as well as broad experience in the field of research (supervision) and program management. You are also able to proactively disseminate knowledge and to lead and motivate a team of researchers.

Job requirements

  • Academic working and thinking level (technical and / or economic), with clear energy profile;
  • Proven experience in setting up, executing and managing complex projects;
  • Strong affinity with research, energy transition and hydrogen;
  • Representative and authoritative at (inter) national level;
  • Good leadership qualities and able to bridge the gap between market and science;
  • Communicative skills in Dutch and English.

You will be appointed as Project Manager D with a full-time salary of € 4,660 to € 7,770 gross per month, depending on work experience.
