UNIDO Guidelines: guidance for a green hydrogen industry
Industrial clusters powered by green hydrogen? Today, the first edition of the "Guidelines for developing green hydrogen industrial clusters" from UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation) was published. The document is now available for download online.
About the 'Guidelines'
- A useful tool for governments and the private sector to plan, implement and scale up green industrial hydrogen clusters in their respective regions and countries.
- Developed by industry experts from UNIDO, the German Energy Agency (dena), Future Cleantech Architects (FCA), New Energy Coalition, GreenLab and Impact Hydrogen.
- At its core is a reproducible three-phase model, based on an exhaustive study of 20 clusters and 'hydrogen valleys' and on UNIDO's experience with models and projects for industrial parks around the world.
Goal
The publication aims to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen, support decarbonisation and stimulate the development of new low-carbon industries.
