Goal
The GZI Next project in Emmen is transforming a fossil gas purification site into a sustainable energy hub, focusing on solar energy (SES PV Park), green hydrogen (EMMHY), and green gas production (Northstar). The GZI Next project is also connected to local industry (Getec) via a hydrogen network and has initiated the development of a green gas collection network between Emmen and Ommen.
Description
The GZI site, which covers 30 hectares, is also connected to the Enexis high-voltage grid. The site's redevelopment is a public-private partnership, supported by local and regional governments, energy companies, and industrial partners. And importantly, the project makes a substantial contribution to the Netherlands' CO₂ reduction targets.

Next to New Energy Coalition nemen NAM, EMMTEC services, Gemeente Emmen, Gasunie, Gasunie Transport Services, Energie Beheer Nederland B.V., ENGIE, Rendo Netwerken, Ludan Environmental Technologies en Rika Greenpark are participating in the project.
