Goal
FLEXPOSTS aims to improve the implementation process of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), with a focus on flexible energy. Organizational structures are developed and assessed, providing decision-makers with the toolkit for implementation.
Description
The path to PEDs involves integrating building design, renewable energy, and stakeholder engagement with broader urban planning and sustainability goals. FLEXPOSTS addresses these challenges by striving for sustainable, affordable, and accessible urban environments, emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates economic development, social inclusion, and environmental quality. FLEXPOSTS specifically focuses on two demonstration sites in Leeuwarden (de Zwette) and Aalborg East (Denmark).
Our role
We are the project developer and are developing a replication strategy for the entire project and a specific strategy for Zwette, Leeuwarden (one of the demonstration locations).
Partners
The Flexposts consortium consists of 5 partners from 2 different countries. In addition New Energy Coalition Hanze, the Municipality of Leeuwarden, Aalborg University and GreenHub Denmark are participating in the project.
