Dutch Thermochemical Cluster
Facts
Project duration: - Grantor: RVOCollaboration for scaling up thermochemical biomass technologies in the Netherlands.
Goal
Collaboration for scaling up thermochemical biomass technologies in the Netherlands.
Description
The Dutch Thermochemical Cluster promotes the transition to sustainable energy by developing and scaling up thermochemical conversion of biomass. These technologies offer alternatives to fossil fuels in the energy and chemical sectors, reduce CO2 emissions, and stimulate the circular economy.
Our role
New Energy Coalition acts as cluster coordinator, facilitates collaboration between partners and supports knowledge sharing and policy development around thermochemical technologies.
Partners
In addition to New Energy Coalition, 11 parties are participating in this cluster, BioBTX, Bio Energy Netherlands, Biolake, DMT IP & Technology, Green Chemistry Campus, MAVITEC, TNO, Torr®Coal, Torrgas, Torrgreen and Waste4Me.
Continuation
As of 2025, Dutch Thermal Cluster will be incorporated into Bio-Economy Platform and activities within this cluster are slowly being phased out.
