AI Hub Northern Netherlands
Implementation of Artificial Intelligence AI in the energy transition.
Goal
De AI Hub Noord-Nederland (AI Hub NNL) aims to Noord-Nederland to become a testing ground for concrete applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on various topics, including 'energy and sustainability'. New Energy Coalition is part of AI Hub NNL and is already involved, together with other cluster organizations, in the "ReactEU" project, which aims to jointly build knowledge and develop projects.
Description
Together with partners, a roadmap for AI in the energy transition is being developed. This roadmap will enable us to address knowledge gaps in this sector and knowledge institutions in the AI domain. Noord-Nederland To identify. By bringing both sides together, we can accelerate the energy transition through efficiency gains and smarter energy systems.
Project examples:
- development of a prediction mechanism for imbalance prices in collaboration with AI Hub and Repowered.
- development of algorithm for demand response systems in various buildings in collaboration with Sustainable Buildings.
Our role
We support the development of a longlist of potential projects and the project development process. We also help organize events to bring together key players in the field and facilitate the integration of AI into the energy transition.

The AI hub Noord-Nederland is a collaboration between Astron, Data Science Center in Health (DASH), Hanze, Life Cooperative, Maritime Academy Harlingen, NOM, University of Groningen, Samenwerking Noord, TNO, TCNN, UMCG & Wetsus.
