TRIERES
Facts
Project duration: - Budget: € 10.492.431 Grantor: Clean Hydrogen Partnership Subsidy programme: Horizon Europe Grant number: 101112056Setting up a small-scale hydrogen valley in Greece.
Goal
The TRIÉRÉS project will provide a local hydrogen valley around the Motor Oil Hellas refinery, with wide-ranging applications from industry to mobility.
Description
The project accelerates the energy transition with innovative solutions for the production, storage, and use of green hydrogen. It reduces dependence on fossil fuels and decarbonizes parts of local mobility, industry, and the energy sector. By intelligently integrating hydrogen into energy systems, renewable energy becomes more flexible. The project promotes collaboration, innovation, and economic growth.
Our role
We strengthen the TRIÉRÉS Valley by connecting with existing and emerging Hydrogen Valleys, identifying best practices, financing mechanisms, and impact, and developing criteria to optimize the Valley. We also support regions such as Cyprus, Israel, Bulgaria, Crete, and Egypt through collaboration and twinning, and connect TRIÉRÉS with international initiatives like Mission Innovation to promote scalability and replication. Within the project, we act as a knowledge sharer and bridge-builder.
