Groen over de grens / Grün über die Grenze
Cross-border cooperation with North Rhine-Westphalia for alternative fuels for the transport sector.
Goal
The aim of Groen over de Grens / Grün über die Grenze is twofold:
- A network is being established consisting of energy suppliers, distributors, transporters, and public and knowledge institutions. This network will focus on heavy freight transport and urban distribution.
- Research is underway to identify suitable locations for the distribution of various fuels via Clean Energy Hubs (multi-fuel filling stations). This research will consider both the supply and production of biofuels and e-fuels, as well as the consumer side.
Description
Groen over de Grens / Grün über die Grenze investigates how CO2 reduction in the transport sector can be achieved between the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Our role
We are the lead partner for this project, coordinating activities and monitoring progress.

In addition to New Energy Coalition, POC Transport, the Province of Gelderland, Agiplan and Energy Engineers are participating in this project.
