As a student, you can join the New Energy Academy to gain the knowledge and experience you need for a career in the energy transition. Through lectures, excursions, and certification programmes, you'll delve deeper into current energy issues. We're also happy to help you with (further) studies or internships in sustainability or the energy transition.
New Energy Academy program
Throughout the academic year, the New Energy Academy organises lectures for students on a variety of topics within the energy sector. These lectures are largely available in the online library. By participating in specific tracks or combinations with energy education at Hanze University of Applied Sciences or the University of Groningen, you can earn a certificate that strengthens your position in the regional job market.
In addition to lectures, you can also participate in excursions to organisations leading the way in the energy transition. These not only offer a glimpse behind the scenes but also help you make career choices.

Annual New Energy Career Event
There are a huge number of organisations in Noord-Nederland that offer students the opportunity to get started. To connect you with these organisations, our New Energy Academy organises the New Energy Career Event every year. Here you can meet organisations from the northern energy region, attend workshops, and expand your network. You can also have a professional portrait photo taken and get tips on improving your resume.
