Noorderpoort leads the way in sustainability in secondary vocational education
On December 4, 2025, during the MBO Symposium on Sustainable Thinking & Doing in Rotterdam, Noorderpoort was named a leader in sustainability in vocational education. Noorderpoort also won the award in the "Accelerators" category.
SustainaBul MBO is awarded annually, a benchmark that supports vocational education (MBO) institutions in their sustainable development. Schools gain insight into their strengths and opportunities for improvement and can inspire each other with best practices. This year, sixteen MBO institutions participated, and Noorderpoort was named a sustainability leader and accelerator among all these institutions, for embedding sustainable choices in its education and business operations, among other things.
