New interregional cooperation in energy transition
The energy transition knows no boundaries. During the North-North event in Hamburg on Thursday, April 25th, New Energy Coalition the interregional cooperation with Renewable Energy Hamburg confirmed in the field of energy transition. Noord-Nederland and Northern Germany, both located on the North Sea, will play a key role in the integration of offshore wind. There are many shared interests in the areas of hydrogen and offshore wind, which we will be exploring in the coming period.
Both parties are focusing on developing a joint network and exploring opportunities for joint innovation and investment activities in the energy sector. Within this partnership, new ideas are being developed for increasing energy collaboration between the Northern Netherlands and the Hamburg region starting in 2019.
