International Hydrogen Guide 2025 launched at World Hydrogen Summit

On 21 May, the first edition of the International Hydrogen Guide 2025 was officially launched. This fifth annual edition introduces the Dutch hydrogen sector to an international audience. The launch took place in Ahoy Rotterdam, during the World Hydrogen Summit. During this three-day event, the domestic and foreign hydrogen sector meet for knowledge and inspiration.
The launch of the guide took place during the networking reception at the NL Pavilion of the exhibition floor. Several organisations involved in the guide made valuable contributions – as if it were a puzzle to which each contributed a piece.

Waterstofgids 2025: 'Excelling in Hydrogen: Solutions for a Sustainable World'
This English-language export guide to the hydrogen sector contains:
the latest hydrogen developments in the Netherlands;
a visualisation of the hydrogen value chain;
more than 270 company profiles.
To promote the Dutch hydrogen sector internationally, the guide is distributed at international trade fairs and at the foreign network of Dutch embassies and trade offices abroad.
In this edition, the focus is more on hydrogen infrastructure and the importance of hydrogen imports. There is an additional focus on earning potential and energy security, as well as the increased role of blue hydrogen.
The Hydrogen Guide is the result of a public-private partnership within the Foreign Ministry’s trade promotion programme International Clean Energy Partnership (ICEP) . It was compiled by RVO, FME and Top Sector Energy (TKI New Gas).
The Netherlands on the map as a hydrogen country
Besides the hydrogen guide, there is also an interactive online hydrogen map that shows a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of hydrogen activities in the Netherlands. The map was developed by Mission H2 and TKI New Gas.
The sector's innovative strength
With the guide and the map, the Dutch hydrogen sector seeks international cooperation and trade. The tools show foreign countries what experiences and solutions the Netherlands can offer when it comes to hydrogen. In this way, we show the innovative power of the Dutch hydrogen sector.
