International Hydrogen Guide 2025 launched

On May 21, the first edition of the International Hydrogen Guide 2025 was officially launched. This fifth volume introduces the Dutch hydrogen sector to an international audience. The launch took place at Ahoy Rotterdam during the World Hydrogen Summit. During this three-day event, the Dutch and international hydrogen sectors meet to share knowledge and inspiration.

The guide was launched during a networking reception in the NL Pavilion on the trade show floor. Various organizations involved in the guide made valuable contributions – like a puzzle to which everyone contributed a piece.

International Hydrogen Guide 2025: 'Excelling in Hydrogen: Solutions for a Sustainable World'

This export guide for the hydrogen sector contains:

  • the latest developments in the field of hydrogen in the Netherlands;
  • a visualization of the hydrogen value chain;
  • more than 270 company profiles.

To raise international awareness of the Dutch hydrogen sector, the guide will be distributed at international trade fairs and within the international network of Dutch embassies and trade offices abroad.

This edition focuses more on hydrogen infrastructure and the importance of hydrogen imports. Additional attention is given to earning potential and energy security, as well as the greater role of blue hydrogen.

The International Hydrogen Guide is the result of a public-private partnership within the trade promotion program International Clean Energy Partnership (ICEP) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was compiled by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl), the Financial Markets Authority (FME), and the Top Sector Energy (TKI New Gas).

The Netherlands on the map as a hydrogen country

In addition to the hydrogen guide, there is also a interactive online hydrogen map which provides a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of hydrogen activities in the Netherlands. The map was developed by Mission H2 en TKI New Gas.

The innovative power of the sector

With the guide and map, the Dutch hydrogen sector is seeking international collaboration and trade. These tools show other countries what experiences and solutions the Netherlands can offer when it comes to hydrogen. This demonstrates the innovative power of the Dutch hydrogen sector.
