Hydrogen partnership Australia and the Netherlands

Australia and the Netherlands will actively collaborate on hydrogen. This was confirmed last Monday with the signing of two partnership agreements.

One of the partnership agreements has been drafted and is being managed by New Energy Coalition, the 'Partner for International Business' (PIB) Hydrogen Australia. This is a trade promotion instrument from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to position Dutch companies well in Australia. Prior to this signing, the Ministers of Energy and Climate of both countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in which it is stated that active cooperation will take place in the field of hydrogen.

Cluster

A cluster of ten Dutch organisations has been formed for the PIB Hydrogen Australia programme to position the Dutch hydrogen sector as a partner for Australia. This allows Dutch companies to capitalise on Australia's hydrogen opportunities and contribute to Australia's ambitions for the production and export of green hydrogen. This cluster consists of: Elestor, Metalot, Nedstack, Soluforce, VOPAK, Port of Rotterdam, Gasunie, TNO, Prodrive, and New Energy Coalition. Led by New Energy Coalition various activities and programmes will be carried out to promote trade. New Energy Coalition will organise (matchmaking) sessions and incoming and outgoing missions to achieve this goal.
