Webinar: Future CCUS Policy in the EU
The EU has a clear goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050. Carbon Capture Utility Storage (CCUS) technologies are becoming increasingly relevant and could play a significant role in achieving the EU's net-zero emissions targets.
Capturing and converting CO2
The program ConsenCUS The consortium is developing an innovative technology for capturing and converting CO2 using electricity and is advising companies and policymakers on the application of these technologies in key EU industries.
Are you interested in the findings of the ConsenCUS project and want to learn more about how future EU policy can enable sustainable CCUS development? Register now for the webinar "Future CCUS Policy in the EU" on September 19!
Programme
In this webinar, we welcome Eve Tamme, chair of the Zero Emissions Platform and founder and director of Climate Principles, and Mijndert Van der Spek, associate professor at the Research Centre for Carbon Solutions, Heriot-Watt University. Our guests will be joined by Dirk Koppert from New Energy Coalition and Luciana Miu, PhD of Energy Policy Group, both partners in the ConsenCUS project.
About ConsenCUS
To achieve a carbon-neutral energy system, we must capture and reuse industrial flue gases. With ConsenCUS, we are testing an innovative technique to achieve this, focusing on social acceptance, building net-zero industrial clusters, and temporarily storing CO2.
