Future of Industrial Carbon Management in the EU
The European Union has set ambitious targets for Industrial Carbon Management (ICM) to achieve significant emissions reductions and maintain the competitiveness of energy-intensive industries. From the North Sea to the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, ICM projects are increasing, but their success depends on targeted policies, sufficient funding, and public trust.
The ConsenCUS project (2021-2025) developed innovative carbon capture and utilization methods, assessed the potential for CO2 storage, and explored public perception of ICM. As the project draws to a close, this webinar will present the key policy conclusions and engage stakeholders in a discussion on how ICM can best contribute to Europe's climate and industrial objectives.
