Net op Groen Noord-Nederland
On November 13, we will bring together companies, knowledge institutions, governments, and grid operators to discuss one of the biggest challenges of our time: grid congestion.
Our electricity grid is reaching its limits. The rapid growth of renewable energy generation, the electrification of businesses, increasing energy demand, and new initiatives are creating serious bottlenecks – better known as grid congestion. Expanding the grid takes time, but standing still is not an option. Smart solutions are needed now, from flexibility services and energy hubs to local collaborations and digital innovations.
Just on Green – Noord-Nederland brings together all stakeholders: municipalities, grid operators, businesses, innovative SMEs, knowledge institutions, and energy experts. This event not only offers inspiration and practical examples related to grid congestion, but also a unique opportunity to forge new connections and explore together how science and business can strengthen each other, both in finding innovative solutions and in attracting and training future talent.
Do you recognize the impact of grid congestion on your own operations, or are you a municipality, grid operator, knowledge institution, or expert working on solutions to this issue? Then this is the perfect time to connect, share experiences, and forge new connections.
Programme
The program includes the following components:
- Tackling grid congestion through collaboration: Problem owners and solution providers bring together specific bottlenecks and potential solutions.
- Three practical cases serve as a common thread: Depth in Groningen Stroomt Door (Groningen Flows Through), Energy Hub Boekelermeer, and Energy Hub Bargermeer. In parallel sessions, companies will present their ideas and engage with stakeholders.
- From inspiration to first steps: Focus on existing solutions such as flexibility services, local networks, and digital innovations, with space to explore ideas and envision possible next steps.
- Matchmaking & Network Building: Organized one-on-one meetings and a networking reception to make initial contacts and discover where collaboration can arise.
