Japan Economic Hydrogen Mission
Are you active in hydrogen and interested in doing business in Japan? Commissioned by and in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and PIB Japan Hydrogen, we are organizing an economic mission to Japan from September 17th to 24th, focusing on the hydrogen sector, including a visit to the World Expo in Osaka. This mission is exclusively for Dutch companies, knowledge institutions, and government agencies active in the hydrogen sector.

Date: September 17 to 24, 2025
Location: Starting in Tokyo and ending in Osaka, Japan
Deadline for registration: June 20, 2025
Costs: €950 per company or organization (1 person)
Why participate?

The Minister for Climate and Green Growth, Sophie Hermans, and Chris Jansen, the State Secretary for Public Transport and the Environment, will be joining this mission. Their presence allows you to establish and develop high-level contacts. You can also sign a contract, letter of intent, or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in their presence. This gives your project or investment added visibility.
World Expo 2025 Osaka
During the mission we will also visit the Dutch pavilion at the World Expo Osaka during the theme week 'The Future of Earth and Biodiversity'It is the perfect location for networking with companies, governments, and knowledge institutions.

Japan has an ambitious government policy for hydrogen and a growing hydrogen economy. The Japanese government and industry will invest heavily in hydrogen infrastructure and transport, as well as in fuel cell technologies. The country therefore offers unique opportunities for Dutch companies in the hydrogen sector to:

Matchmaking session on May 22
In addition to the economic hydrogen mission to Japan, we are also organizing a B2B matchmaking session for Dutch and Japanese hydrogen companies in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in Japan, Enterprise Europe Network, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl), and Jetro.
