DOSTA Final Conference
Learn all about the findings of the DOSTA research program on wind energy during the final conference.
The multidisciplinary NWO-funded research program launched in September 2020 and aims to address challenges related to the Dutch government's ambition to develop up to 75 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050.
A consortium of the universities of Groningen and Utrecht, together with a large number of industrial partners, has developed the DOSTA project: Developing Offshore Storage and Transport Alternatives.
The DOSTA project aims to investigate, from a multidisciplinary perspective, offshore energy storage options (pumped storage of electricity and conversion to hydrogen) and alternative methods of transporting electricity and/or hydrogen to shore, and their feasibility for implementation in the Dutch part of the North Sea. This conference marks the end of this four-year research project.
For more information about DOSTA, please visit their website or read more about the role of New Energy Coalition in the project on the project page.
