Citylogistic 2.0 workshop: Last mile logistics
The demands on parcel and postal service providers and on city centers are increasing: environmental protection, noise reduction, and livable neighborhoods are just a few of the factors, as are climate-neutral delivery and the use of renewable energy in distribution centers. What could the future of last-mile logistics look like? Several projects in the northwest are exploring this. As part of the Interreg A project Citylogistic 2.0, an exchange with current logistics projects will be facilitated to discuss various areas of innovation and solution approaches.

What is Citylogistics 2.0
The project will develop an innovative, intelligent, and sustainable distribution system. It consists of an energy-self-sufficient, mobile minihub and a purpose-optimized vehicle powered by the renewable energy it supplies. The minihub is designed as a mobile unit that can be deployed at any location, allowing for optimal integration into the last-mile logistics chain. During the project phase, two operational and test phases are planned in the partner cities of Groningen (on the Zernike Campus) and Oldenburg (in the new Helleheide district on the former air base).
The Citylogistic 2.0 project is being carried out within the framework of the Interreg VI Germany-Netherlands programme and is co-financed by the European Union, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), MWIKE NRW and MB Niedersachsen, and the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Flevoland, Overijssel, Gelderland, Noord-Brabant, and Limburg.
