The function
We're looking for an enthusiastic team player who is practical, fast, and accurate. A hands-on colleague who can organize an event from start to finish, while also staying up-to-date on the latest developments in online communication. Content management is therefore crucial to your work! You're confident, flexible, and willing to step in when colleagues need your support. In short, switching between thinking and doing is easy for you.
In this role, you'll focus on event coordination and relationship management for our community, including organising events. Your responsibilities will also include corporate strategy, and you'll work on positioning and projects within one of our focus areas.
Tasks
- You organise and coordinate small and large events from concept to evaluation. You also handle communication.
- You build and maintain contact with our community and visitors to our events;
- You develop and manage content for websites, newsletters and social media;
- You contribute to the corporate strategy within the marketing and communications team.
Job requirements
- Minimum higher professional education level, preferably in event management, marketing or communications;
- You have demonstrable experience with event coordination and (online) communication;
- You have strong organisational skills, can switch well between tasks and know how to distinguish between the main issues and secondary matters;
- You combine strategic insight with a hands-on mentality (thinking and doing);
- You have a proactive attitude and are a team player: you are flexible, proactively help out where necessary and are positive, enterprising and curious;
- You have an affinity with the theme of energy transition or sustainability;
- You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both oral and written.

Part of the Marketing & Communications team
The Marketing & Communications team consists of 5 people. We take care of corporate communications for New Energy Coalition and are responsible for the communication of a diverse range of projects, events, and activities. Our department's responsibilities are highly varied: we advise, develop communication plans and strategies, and are responsible for the resulting activities and resources, such as websites, social media channels, press relations, and the organisation and promotion of events and programmes.
