Collaborate on energy storage education

Energy Storage NL (ESNL) and our New Energy Business School (NEBS) are joining forces to address energy storage. Both organizations recognize a growing need for accessible, up-to-date, and applicable knowledge on this topic.

The need for the energy transition is becoming increasingly tangible. Grid congestion is a growing problem in many places in the Netherlands. How can energy storage provide a solution to this problem? The right knowledge is essential. This includes understanding the grid and applying the right batteries in the right location, contributing to and complying with new regulations, and improving the business case through new contract types.

We're seeing the storage world changing rapidly. For example, Europe is issuing more and more requirements, such as those related to (cyber)security and recycling, which developers must consider. But even outside the sector, such as among government officials, the need for knowledge is growing, for example, to assess whether a storage project is safe and spatially viable. At ESNL, we want to address this need for knowledge by focusing on knowledge dissemination.

Education about energy storage

The ambition of ESNL en NEBS The goal is to develop an in-depth course for ESNL members to keep them informed of changing regulations. A basic Energy Storage course is also being developed for professionals new to the storage sector. Both courses are designed to not only inform but also provide practical tools that professionals can use immediately.

This collaboration underscores the shared mission of both organizations: contributing to a stable, sustainable, and innovative energy climate in the Netherlands. We achieve this by actively connecting knowledge and networks. The training programs are currently being developed, with current topics and industry experts being identified. Registration will be available soon through NEBS and ESNL channels.
