International network
Connecting is what New Energy Coalition does. We actively seek partnerships, both within the region and beyond. From our base in the northern energy region of the Netherlands, we are actively building an international network that contributes to a future-proof energy system. By collaborating with partners in Europe and beyond, we strengthen our region's position as a leader in the energy transition.
Various collaborations
We do this largely by working together on projects from Interreg Europe and the Europese Commissie , and we collaborate with Dutch, European, and international organizations. Our colleagues are also active in various networks. For example, our green gas expert Ruud Paap is director of the internationally operating Green Gas Platform, organizes Jannes Kalfsbeek from Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) matchmaking events for SMEs, and our colleagues from Noord-Holland Noord are involved Expertise Center INVESTA to innovative hydrogen and green gas initiativesSteef Kalsbeek is on behalf of New Energy Coalition Chairman of Young Energy Professional (YEP), a network that brings together young talent from the Dutch energy sector. Steef is also committed to Siep Bouma called New Energy Coalition as international hydrogen project managers at Green Power NLOur colleague Beau Broen is affiliated with Young NWBA.
Management positions and German network
Our General Manager Marieke Abbink-Pellenbarg holds management positions within the German energy cluster OLEC, European Research Institute for Gas and Energy Innovation (ERIG), KVGN en NXT Airport (Groningen Airport Eelde). Together with Ingrid Klinge she is committed to Women in Energy Noord-Nederland (VIEN)Ingrid is also committed to strong cooperation and knowledge sharing between the Netherlands and Germany.
Cooperation between North Sea countries
Our collaborations with the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) are also becoming increasingly important. As countries bordering the North Sea, we share similar challenges and opportunities in the field of sustainable energy. These relationships directly contribute to the economic and innovative strength of Noord-Nederland.
International relations
We also have good contacts with international organizations such as International Energy Agency (IEA) en World Energy Council (WEC) and we are a member of Hydrogen Europe. From the collaboration with WEC, our colleague Joep Sanderink active within Future Energy Leaders, a network of young professionals working worldwide on solutions for the energy transition. Together with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency we support trade missions, such as PIB Australia en PIB Japan where we share our knowledge about hydrogen. We also strengthen global relationships, for example through a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Chungnam Province (Korea) for cooperation on hydrogen technologies.
