The headquarter of New Energy Coalition is located where knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship in the north of the Netherlands come together: the Energy Academy Europe building at Zernike Campus in Groningen.
Sustainable building
The Energy Academy Europe is accredited as one of the most sustainable educational buildings in the Netherlands. The design intelligently utilizes natural energy sources such as sunlight, air, earth, and water. The sloped roof is fully equipped with solar panels, and the building has a BREEAM rating of "Outstanding," which sets extremely high standards for sustainability and energy consumption.
Education, research and business in one place
This location reflects what we stand for: collaboration between education, research, and business, working towards a sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy system. The realisation of Energy Academy Europe is an initiative of the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, GasTerra, and New Energy Coalition (at the time Energy Valley) and has been our home base since 2016.
From both our head office in Groningen and our branch in Alkmaar, we work every day on new energy for a strong northern Netherlands.
