Our work area
Our roots are firmly anchored in the north of the Netherlands. A region with a rich energy history at the heart of the European energy market and strategically located on the borders of the North Sea. Traditionally, this area has been the Netherlands' primary energy supplier. That role is changing, but its importance remains: with a strong energy infrastructure, deep-rooted knowledge, and innovations, we are building a future-proof, sustainable, and affordable energy system.
New energy for a powerful northern region
The work area of New Energy Coalition covers the entire northern energy region with a focus on the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe and Noord-Holland Noord. These areas serve as a testing ground where knowledge, ideas, and interests converge. This is where innovations emerge, are tested and applied locally, with impact that extends far beyond the region's borders. We also invest in human development to ensure the retention of knowledge and skills. In this way, we are working together to create new energy for a strong northern energy region to ensure a prosperous and a sustainable residential, work and living environment.
Our locations
From our headquarter at the Energy Academy Europe building at Zernike Campus in Groningen, we work daily on the topic of new energy. Next to that we have an office in the city of Alkmaar, demonstrating our presence and involvement in the province of Noord-Holland.
