New Energy Coalition and TNO combine knowledge and expertise
Collaborating to accelerate the energy transition is crucial to achieving the 2030 and 2050 climate goals. That is why TNO and New Energy Coalition their collaboration. Both organisations have been collaborating on the energy transition on a project basis for some time. On 20 May, Ton de Jong, Managing Director of Energy Transition at TNO, and Marieke Abbink, CEO of New Energy Coalition signed (Corona-proof!) the agreement to formalise the collaboration.
New Energy Coalition brings parties together to create partnerships that accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy economy. TNO applies scientific research, connects people and knowledge to create innovations that sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of businesses and the well-being of society. These aligned missions and core values make it a smart and logical step for both parties to further shape their collaboration to accelerate the energy transition.
What does the collaboration entail?
To achieve climate goals and accelerate the energy transition, businesses, (knowledge) institutions, and governments must innovate together to achieve breakthroughs in technology and knowledge, in economic and social applications, and in human thinking and action. This collaboration is characterised by open innovation and cooperation between knowledge providers, governments, and businesses, and focuses on the application and development of new innovations that can be applied more quickly in our society.
