Construction of circular green gas factory in Emmen kicks off

Last Friday, construction of Stercore's circular green gas factory in Emmen officially kicked off. New Energy Coalition's green gas expert, Ruud Paap, attended the official opening.

Circular green gas factory

STERCORE has an innovative approach that uses innovative, technical, and sustainable processes to achieve CO2 reduction by producing high-quality organic fertilizers and green energy from renewable resources, thereby achieving a balance between ecology, economy, and society.

A great day for green gas in the Netherlands: Stercore has officially begun construction of its first facility in Emmen. This facility will soon produce 23 million cubic meters of green gas per year from manure. That's enough to supply 22,5 households. Stercore will also produce 85.000 tons of biobased carbon and 30.000 tons of liquid CO2, and they will extract more than 2 million kilograms of nitrogen from the Dutch manure market. Nitrogen that will no longer have a chance to contribute to the nitrogen problem in the Netherlands!
