The nomination for Future Hydrogen Leader is intended for talents under the age of 35. They make a demonstrable contribution to innovative hydrogen projects, technologies, and strategies. Beau is praised for his technical and strategic expertise.

He played an important role in the realization of the 1-megawatt solid-oxide electrolyzer project within the Fieldlab Waterstof in AgriThis project is one of the largest operational commercial installations of this type in the world. Moreover, it is unique because the technology has been applied on a farm for the first time here.

According to him, the fact that Beau is on the list alongside top international executives and innovators underscores the value of collaboration. He also emphasizes the opportunities he has within New Energy Coalition received to further develop as an expert.

Talent development

In addition to his substantive projects, Beau is actively committed to talent development within the sector. As a board member of Jong-NWBA, he worked on a national strategy to involve young people in the hydrogen transition. Through this, he aims to contribute to reducing the growing personnel shortage in the sector.

For Beau, the double nomination feels primarily like recognition of the collaborative work within New Energy Coalition and the northern energy region. “The energy transition is complex and requires strong teams,” he states. “The fact that I have been nominated in both categories is special.
