Groningen organizations that want to invest jointly in hydrogen can apply for up to 50% subsidy for activities that strengthen the regional hydrogen chain.
This week SNN made the latest hydrogen subsidy call “Development of hydrogen chains" known.
The scheme is aimed at consortia of at least three companies, two of which are located in the province. Subsidies are available for:
• feasibility studies into the production, transport, storage or application of hydrogen
• developing an implementation plan based on such a study
• investments in new installations or the adaptation of existing equipment for green or blue hydrogen
Projects must start within twelve months and be completed within four years. Only renewable energy sources are eligible; the use of fossil fuels is excluded. The scheme also encourages knowledge sharing and requires clear substantiation of the project's technical feasibility, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
All conditions and application details can be found in the official subsidy scheme via the website of SNN.
